The lotus pond

The lotus...a flower that grows in mud yet stands out....a symbol of purity and piousness and an inspiration for many designers. And I.... love it too. You can contemporarize it, stylize it without making it lose its essence and beauty. I played around with a the motif and worked on it with gold thread and sequence on a background of orange and red raw silk  and this is how it looks. Imagine it on a white sofa or even a beige one...it will simply light up the room and if it is an occasion to celebrate or a festive season, this would bring in the light and joy. This was picked up immediately and now  housed in UK. Its feels good when products designed and handmade at the workshop finds space in homes in a different part of the world.... :)

You could co-ordinate this with a light and bright, sun gold orange as a runner with sequence just scarcely scattered  and no borders. That would complete the look.

Love for Pink and Fushia

It was an absolute pleasure designing these Pink and Fushia cushion covers in varied sizes with different fabrics and textures for a friend ,whose home is more like out of the pages of Elle magazine. It is amazing how technology has helped communicate better with an immediate response. That's how I work with my friends and clients from different parts of the globe. We went through visuals that appealed to her, then she sent back designs that she loved from my face book page and we put it all together and created these designs that were made at my cute little workshop. Her husband ,who travels frequently to India , picked up the delivery .She sent me these photographs that you see here as soon as she put hem up on her sofa. And I am sure you agree that they do look pretty. Nothing makes me smile more than when the efforts of designing and making them pleases the person for whom it is made.

At the workshop we worked with fabrics ranging from brocade, silk, cotton, sequence and woven textures .We combined these as I was sure it would be adorable and beautiful and which I must say how it turned out to be. We give our best shot to deliver quality work and as always these designs would not be repeated for anyone else, that you could say is our USP. A combination of all these fabrics is pretty exciting to me and the outcome is what you can see. Hope you all love it as much as we loved creating it. you may also take a peak sneak at Pinky's blog- www.pinkzpassion.blogspot.ca

I will definitely try to be more regular now with updates from my side as to what is happening in my little workshop.
